Carl Watts competed on The European Tour between 1994-2001 winning the inaugural Russian Open in 1996. A former top 200 world ranked professional golfer, Carl was the first player in European Tour history to score -24 under par.
From 2002-2010 Carl coached and mentored tour professionals using his “Game Management System” focused on maximising performance, his role was to assess players throughout a tournament, from practice round efficiency to tournament day pressures to post event evaluation. Teaching professionals to work smarter, to run an efficient “tournament player” business built on logic not emotion.
Since 2007 Carl has delivered his “Tour Myth” seminar to the Professional Golfers Association & National Golf Federations. Based on the psychology of the game, it transform peoples perception and understanding of the game. From January 2016 the “Tour Myth” Tour will travel to golf and sports clubs throughout the UK.
Carl also shares his tour stories and experiences as an inspiring after dinner speaker and at corporate golf days as the “Golf Day Host or co-host”. Clients have included ITV, Sky, Fender and England Rugby. As a business trainer Carl uses his experience as a an elite sportsman to empower sales & business teams to boost their performance with his “Mind Management” workshops, helping teams to manage the pressure of business and life commitments.
Carl is married with four children and lives in Horsham, West Sussex.
